Conrady Junior High School recently made history with their fall production, A Night at Gravestone Manor. On October 25, the one-night-only performance marked a significant milestone for the school’s Drama Club, as it was the first production to take place on their brand new stage. The new stage is the result of the recent school renovation project.
A Night at Gravestone Manor, offered a thrilling and spooky experience for the audience, transporting them to a haunted mansion filled with mysterious characters and unexpected twists. Fifty-four students participated in the production - including actors, tech, and crew. It was the first time on stage for quite a few of the actors, and the first time on the new stage for everyone.
Until this year, Conrady Jr. High lacked a dedicated stage and performance area, limiting the Drama Club’s ability to showcase their talents. However, with the completion of the renovation project, the school now has the ability for the Drama Club to perform without worrying about anyone else needing their space for another purpose.
The success of this inaugural production is a testament to the hard work and commitment of the Conrady Jr. High Drama Club members and their directors, Mrs. Kimberly Dignin and Ms. Jackie Hausman. Conrady is excited to see what future productions the Drama Club has in store, as they continue to thrive in their new performance space.
